Stinging Control
Wasps and bees are useful insects, yet they are commonly regarded as pests due to their propensity to sting. Wasps, in particular, maybe a nuisance in the autumn, when they can disturb a variety of outdoor activities. Humans frequently wrongly refer to all stinging insects as “bees.” While both social wasps and bees live in colonies controlled by queens and maintained by workers, their appearance and behaviour differ. It is critical to identify between these insects because various means of management may be required if they become a problem.
Signs of Infections
Stinging pests come in a range of shapes and sizes that span multiple insect species. While the common factor is a stinger, body types, colours, and legs vary widely between pests such as bees, hornets, wasps, and even scorpions. These pests can all present problems for you or your home and controlling them begins with accurate identification.
- Signs of Beehive.
- Wall voids or chimneys often fit their needs for a nest.
Things that stinging insects find attractive include the following:
- Gardens
- Rock piles
- Woodpiles
- Standing water
- Open trash cans
- Dense shrubbery
- Outdoor eating areas
Potential Harm:
- Attract other insects.
- Stain surrounding structures.
- Harm the supporting structures.
- They are a nuisance in competing for food.
Where should stinging insects commonly be found?
Stinging insects build their nests in several places where they might find the protection, even on your commercial property. Stinging insects nest on, in, or above the ground, depending on the species. Tree branches, tree cavities, utility poles, chimneys, roof eaves, and doors are also common places for aerial nesting. Ground nesting stinging insects build their nests under or under woodpiles, bushes or fallen trees, between rocks, within ground holes, or in tiny animal abandoned nests. Carpenter bees are distinguished by their ability to burrow into and create nests in pieces of wood or wooden buildings. We can provide stinging insect management for both residential and commercial properties.
