What are Silverfish?
Silverfish are tiny, wingless insects with flattened bodies that travel quickly due to their carrot or teardrop form. Most silverfish species are silver or gunmetal in color, with long antennae and scales. Silverfish are also called as “bristletails” because they have three long and bristly appendages in the back of their bodies. Because silverfish are nocturnal insects, they may quickly conceal, allowing their invasion to go undetected.
Types of Silverfish
There are about 120 species of silverfish worldwide.
