What are Centipedes?
Centipedes are arthropods, which are organisms with an exoskeleton, segmented body, and jointed legs. These pests have elongated bodies that resemble worms with legs. Centipedes are most active at night and spend the majority of their time hidden. Centipedes thrive in moist, humid environments. They are more likely to be found in wet areas of your house or company, like bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, or basements.
Type of Centipedes
There are roughly 15,000 recognized species of ants in the world
Risks Associated with Centipedes
Millipede Allergic Skin Reactions
Millipedes can cause mild allergic reactions if they secrete defensive fluids and you get them on your person or in your eyes.
Centipede "Bites"
Rather than bite, centipedes can pinch,
and venom is injected through their front legs-potentially causing a reaction similar to a bee sting.
